Ezra Weston Loomis Pound (30 October 1885 – 1 November 1972)became known for his role in developing Imagism, which, in reaction to the Victorian and Georgian poets, favored tight language, unadorned imagery, and a strong correspondence between the verbal and musical qualities of the verse and the mood it expressed. After teaching Romance Languages at Wabash College in Indiana for two years, he resigned and travelled to Spain, Italy and England. He became interested in the poetry of the Chinese and Japanese. He founded the Imagist movement in poetry, which encouraged experimenting with different verse forms, and opposed representational art in favor of abstract forms.

#5 All For Animals

If I had $1 million dollars I would donate half to animal shelters and half to an animal charity. Every since I was a little kid i knew I loved animals. i always wanted to be a veterinarian or anything that involved working with animals. I typed in animal suffering on Google and this picture was the only cute picture there. I believe that animals really are treated like nothing. I HATE seeing stray animals because to me a stray animal represents how negative and cruel this world really is. Every time i go and visit the dog shelter it saddens me, there are rows and rows of caged dogs. Most of the cages hold pitbulls and some of the dogs are old, hurt, and dirty. Some dogs that have been there too long have to be put down because the shelter can't afford to keep feeding and taking care of them and they need more room for the constant stray dogs that come in. They also take care of cats, rabbits, and chickens. With half a million dollars I know that the living conditions of those animals can improve and maybe with more money they can expand and wont have to put down any animal. Also if i give half a million to a charity then that can help them to get the word out about animal suffering and teach people to help animals.
